Silicon Valley and Human Rights

A conference examining and exploring how the high-tech industry can better plan for and manage the human rights implications of their technologies.
With all the Internet related stories in the last year (Arab Spring, shutdown of mobile networks in Egypt, Wikileaks, London riots, shutdown of cell phones in San Francisco, export of surveillance technologies, use of social networks in natural disasters, etc etc etc) this conference is probably the right idea at the right time. Register here. October 25, 26 in San Francisco.
