Climbing Kinabalu

My friend Intisar, never one to shy away from an overseas adventure, and I climbed Mount Kinabalu, the tallest peak in Southeast Asia this week. Kinabalu is in Malaysia on the island of Borneo. It's summit is at 4,101 meters. The ascent was tons of fun and one of the most memorable parts of the hike was waking up under a full moon at 2 AM to make the final climb to the peak. This made for unexpectedly excellent night photography. Here are a few shots...the rest of the album is here.
